Eture Alum Ethan Hackenberg Scores Brace in Quarterfinal

Former Eture Gap Year standout Ethan Hackenberg delivered a stellar performance for SIUE in their Ohio Valley Conference quarterfinal matchup, scoring twice to help secure a spot in the semifinals. A graduate student, Hackenberg opened the scoring with a powerful header before calmly converting a penalty kick to seal the win against Western Illionois.

A graduate of Eture’s 2019/2020 program, Hackenberg has continued to impress at the college level, showcasing the technical skill and composure that defined his time at Eture. His brace not only fueled SIUE’s postseason push but also underscored the growing influence of Eture players as the postseason enters full swing.
