Preston Carroll commits to UIC

We are excited to announce another Gap Year commitment! Preston Carroll, a strong center back and defensive midfielder, has officially committed to play for the University of Illinois Chicago Men’s Soccer program. An Eture Gap Year Player, Preston is among the first to formally announce his commitment to an NCAA program from this cohort. Throughout his gap year, he has shown leadership, dedication to excellence, and a relentless work ethic both on and off the field.

Speaking on signing day about his decision, Preston said, "I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity Eture has provided me during my gap year. This experience has allowed me to grow significantly as both a player and a person while building strong relationships with my teammates and coaches. I'm proud of the work I've put in and thankful for everyone who has been part of this journey. I'm excited and prepared for what the future holds."

Preston will join his new team in the fall of 2026, ready to bring his leadership, versatility, and commitment to excellence to the UIC program.
